Lionesses forward Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the this year's Young Sports Star of the Year award.

These three athletes have been recognised for their outstanding achievements over the last year.

Agyemang played a key role in helping the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a record-breaking innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his sensational debut year.

The shortlisted athletes were revealed during a live broadcast on a widely-listened-to radio show.

The champion will be announced during a live broadcast on the prestigious sports ceremony show on the 18th of December.

The ceremony will be broadcast from 19:00 GMT.

The Football Star

Just three months after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to Euro 2025 glory.

She entered the fray to score vital last-gasp goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

These match-saving moments led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Afterwards, she was awarded the prestigious Golden Girl honour for the top young European talent.

She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the world's best under-21 female player.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, sustained a serious knee injury in October.

"Being on the shortlist for this award is an honour," said Agyemang. "Thank you to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my loved ones, mentors, colleagues and supporters."

Littler's Profile

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler's 2025 began in sensational style as - at just 17 years old - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a commanding win over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.

He didn't stop there - his triumph in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, shattering the previous record.

"Earning a spot on the shortlist for the honour once more is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."

Davina Perrin

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's brightest emerging stars and rose to fame with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the fastest by an English woman in T20s.

It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a premier tournament.

Perrin ended up as runner-up in the run-scoring charts and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm truly honoured to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it inspires more young women to get into cricket."
