President Trump stated on the weekend that he has asked the loved ones of a Guard member fatally shot last week to attend the presidential home.

He mentioned that he contacted her family and they were “heartbroken”.

The president said he’s proposed a meeting at the presidential residence for the families of both individuals of the state National Guard.

“I told them: ‘When you’re prepared, because that’s a hard experience, visit the White House. We’re going to pay tribute to Sarah,” Trump addressed the press. “And similarly with him, no matter the outcome.”

Community members came together over the weekend at a local school in the state to remember Sarah.

Both the soldiers had been serving with the military unit as part of Trump’s national effort to support public safety in DC.

“She was the kind of student that educators wished for. She conducted herself with inner fortitude, a warm expression and a positive energy that lifted those around her,” Jarrod Hankins, the head of Beckstrom’s previous school, told the press. “She was sweet, considerate and always eager to help others.”

Funeral plans for Sarah are yet to be finalized.

Authorities have accused a twenty-nine-year-old Afghan national with a charge of murder and charges of violent assault while carrying a weapon.

“She had a lot of goodness and she definitely had bravery,” Morrisey informed the crowd at the memorial. “Though her time was cut short, she has left a mark that’s going to last forever.”
