The Gunners Host Wolves in Pivotal Premier League Encounter
The stage is set for a compelling Premier League contest as front-runners Arsenal welcome struggling Wolves to the their home ground.
Starting Lineups
Mikel Arteta's side have made a trio of alterations following the XI that endured a narrow defeat at Villa Park last weekend. The French defender, the Swedish striker and Gabriel Martinelli all start in the lineup. The captain and the Spanish midfielder are named on the bench, while the Italian defender is absent. The centre-back is back after sitting out five matches through injury.
The visitors also make three changes to their starting XI after being heavily defeated 4-1 at home by Manchester United last time out. Matt Doherty, João Gomes and the South Korean forward come in. Hoever and Jhon Arias drop to the bench, while Jean‐Ricner Bellegarde misses out altogether.

Match Context
Welcome! And I mean, let's be honest …
The standings paints a striking story. The hosts sit proudly at the pinnacle of the Premier League, while their opponents anchor the league.
… however, even though this will be the 42nd time the top side have taken on the side propping up the entire table – with 30 out of 41, with seven draws – who are responsible for two of the four all-time upsets? Why, Wolves, that’s who! So while the Arsenal manager will surely be expecting another victory, the Wolves boss must know that underdogs sometimes find the target, and anything is possible. Kick-off is at 8pm GMT. The action is imminent!
(The other two last-over-first wins in the Premier League era are Oldham’s 1-0 win over United in March 1993, and Tottenham Hotspur – yeah, this one sounds a bit weird - beating Liverpool in November 2008.)
