Soccer Expert Sutton Takes On Artist Murs in Premier League Predictions

Arsenal's ten-match winning run came to an end by Sunderland before the international break, but will the English top division leaders bounce back against local foes Tottenham this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this game," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team typically still manage to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this term, against AI, fans and a variety of special visitors.

For the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

Murs' new album, Knees Up, is out on the weekend.

Football and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a skilled soccer player as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of several charity football games down the years - but he is not intending a serious return as a footballer.

"{I actually played in a charity game the other night for a mate of mine," he explained. "My team was losing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I still love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my daughter or son decides to play instead."

Murs and his spouse his partner have two children, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their manager.

"I will not force football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be coaching their Saturday soccer side," he added.

"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a soccer team for a while too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He coached our team for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Premier League Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their attack is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this fixture will be quite tight, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their only home losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

This suggests a 1-1 tie to me, but I am in fact going to choose the London side to edge it for what would be their third Premier League win in a row.

The expert's forecast: 1-2

The singer's prediction: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their past two matches - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which surprised me.

In contrast, the Hammers secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at home, they appear strong again.

West Ham's sole away win this season came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when West Ham boss Nuno was still Forest manager.

Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - can the Hammers extending their run under Nuno, or the home side bouncing back?

I will go with the Cherries, because I think what happened against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

Olly's outlook: Bournemouth are performing strongly but the visitors have picked up under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign started, but they have surprised a several observers under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three wins in their past four games.

A family member advised me to select Brentford striker Thiago in my Fantasy Football team a few weeks back and, guess what, I didn't listen.

The forward will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back the away side at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had much success on the travel this season, and Brighton are consistently strong at home. Brentford will attempt to attack on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side pose much more of a danger.

Sutton's prediction: 2-1

Olly's prediction: It could be one of those games where you think there is going to be a lot of goals but it actually proves to be rather close. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six matches.

They have have plenty of talent in their squad but it still feels like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.

As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.

Their display in the 2-2 draw with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We have not seen any other team rough up the Gunners like that this term, and they were more than a match for them.

The logical choice to do to support the visitors here, because they are clearly capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they beat the Blues at the close of October.

However I am not do that. Instead, I truly need to carry on going against Sunderland with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of credit for their positive outcomes because they evidently love to defy my predictions.

Considering Fulham's home form, the only team they have lost to is Arsenal. Marco Silva's side will be extremely eager for a positive result, so I am going to say they will secure three points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I know the visitors are performing strongly and also that Fulham are on a bad streak... but Fulham have still been decent at Craven Cottage this campaign. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard fixture to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their past 10 games in every tournament, but could they be one of the sides who profit from the {international break|
