Police have published shocking video showing a driver performing hazardous drifting maneuvers around a roundabout during an unauthorized car meet, placing spectators at grave risk of injury.

An individual aged 23 from the local area was given a 27-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, after admitting to reckless operation of a vehicle.

In addition, the court imposed a one-year license suspension and mandated community service along with a behavioral course.

As stated by authorities, the recording was filmed at an unauthorized automobile gathering in the city on 28 December 2024, showing the driver operating a distinctive colored vehicle.

Official Comment

A police sergeant commented: “Local people, drivers and our traffic officers have had their fill with these groups of drivers selfishly occupying public roads and car parks and we refuse to accept it.”

The officer continued: “They are not only a complete nuisance, but they also put participants and innocent bystanders at risk of severe harm.”
