Nearly 25,000 homes in Queensland's southeast found themselves experiencing outages on Monday morning after powerful weather events passed over the area, generating strong winds reaching 109 kilometers per hour.

Residents observed substantial frozen pellets measuring up to 7cm in certain regions. The Bureau of Meteorology confirmed that multiple regions across the state had been hit with large hailstones.

Moist weather were forecast to persist along significant areas of eastern Queensland this coming days as a low-pressure trough continued to attract humidity against the coastal areas.

Tomorrow was forecast to be the heaviest precipitation period, with continued severe weather risk anticipated across multiple regions of both states.

Public health experts warned that there was an higher risk of thunderstorm-induced asthma across the countryside regions, particularly given the ongoing climate situation.
