The House investigative committee has published a collection of around 70 photos secured from the holdings of deceased found guilty sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein.

This constitutes the third release from a cache of in excess of 95,000 photographs the committee has acquired from Epstein's estate. It includes images of passages from the literary work Lolita inscribed across a woman's body, and obscured photos of female overseas passports.

This disclosure occurs mere hours before the 19th of December due date for the Department of Justice to disclose each records related to its inquiry into Epstein.

"These latest photographs raise further queries about exactly what the Justice Department has in its holdings," remarked the Democratic lead of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What is in the Images Released

Several of the images made public on Thursday feature Epstein speaking with academic and activist Noam Chomsky inside a private jet; Bill Gates seen alongside a individual whose identity is obscured; Steve Bannon positioned at a table opposite Epstein, and previous Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a dinner gathering.

These are the newest wealthy, powerful individuals to be pictured in Epstein property photos disclosed by the oversight panel - earlier disclosed photos also depict US President Donald Trump and past president Bill Clinton, as well as movie director Woody Allen, former US Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers, attorney Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and others.

Appearing in the images is not proof of any wrongdoing, and many of the pictured individuals have said they were in no way participating in Epstein's criminal activity.

In a announcement accompanying the photograph publication, Lawmakers on the US House Oversight Committee stated the Epstein estate did not offer background information or timings for the images.

"Photographs were selected to provide the American people with clarity into a representative sample of the photographs obtained from the holdings, and to give insights into Epstein's circle and his profoundly troubling activities," the statement says.

The release also contains several images of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita inscribed in ink across various areas of a woman's body, like her upper body, foot, hip, and rear. Lolita recounts the story of a young girl who was manipulated by a adult literature professor.

A particular passage from the book scrawled across a female's torso states, "Lo-lee-ta: the tip of the tongue traveling of three steps down the palate to land, at three, on the teeth".

The release also contains a series of images of women's identification and official papers from nations around the world, including Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

A large portion of the information on the documents, such as names and birth dates, is obscured but the panel stated in a statement that the travel documents are associated with "individuals whom Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators were interacting with".

An additional photograph shows Epstein sitting at a desk intimately surrounded by three female figures whose faces have been redacted - one has her palm on Epstein's chest under his clothing, and a second is leaning to view a close-by laptop. Epstein appears to be helping the final person attach a wristband.

A further photo made public is a image of SMS messages from an unknown person who says they have been sent "several females" and are requesting "$$1,000 per girl".

Image Publication Comes Before DOJ Due Date

The committee has many thousands of photos in its holdings from the Epstein holdings, which are "both graphic and mundane," its press release on Thursday clarified.

The House Oversight Committee first issued a subpoena to the estate of Epstein, who passed away in a New York prison in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on charges of human trafficking, in August.

The images and files the Epstein property provided to the committee are different than what is largely called "Epstein-related records". That material are papers under the DOJ's possession associated with its own investigation into Epstein.

In accordance with the Transparency Act, which Donald Trump signed into law in November, the DOJ has until 19 December to release its records. The extent of what is included in the DOJ's documents is not publicly known, and it's expected that a large amount of the information will be significantly censored, akin to House Oversight Committee materials
